This Privacy Policy explains how Other Half handles information when you use the Other Half website and iOS app. Other Half is operated by 2803022 Ontario Ltd.
Information the app stores on your device
The Other Half app may let you save information such as:
- Important dates, such as anniversaries, birthdays, and date-night reminders.
- His Playbook items, such as meals, gift ideas, drink orders, preferences, sizes, stress signals, and notes.
- App progress, including Connection Balance, XP, achievements, completed nudges, and local history.
This information is intended to remain locally on your device. Other Half does not currently provide user accounts, cloud sync, or a server database for your relationship details.
Information sent to Other Half servers
The app may connect to api.betterhalf.cloud/v1/other-half/ to download static Other Half app content, such as jokes, nudges, appreciation prompts, gift examples, tension-check incidents, and repair-plan content.
Those requests may create ordinary server logs, which can include technical information such as IP address, request path, date/time, user agent, and basic delivery diagnostics. We use this information to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Support email
If you email Other Half Support, we will receive the information you choose to include in your message, your email address, and related email metadata. Please do not send sensitive relationship details unless they are needed for support.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not require a Other Half account.
- We do not intentionally collect your Playbook items, important dates, or relationship notes on our servers.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, the app may use local notifications for reminders such as important dates or Playbook memory reminders. Notification settings can be managed in iOS Settings.
Payments and App Store purchases
If Other Half is sold through the Apple App Store, Apple handles the purchase transaction. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
Data deletion
You can delete local app data from within the app where available, or by deleting the app from your device. Deleting the app removes local app data stored by Other Half on that device, subject to normal iOS behavior and any backups you control.
Children
Other Half is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use HTTPS for Other Half web and API services. No system is perfect, but we aim to keep the app architecture simple and avoid collecting sensitive relationship details on our servers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
